Liz Lochhead, poet, playwright and broadcaster, is Glasgow’s Poet Laureate. Her theatrical pieces, including Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off, Perfect Days and translations including Moliere’s Misery Guts have become modern classics. Her first collection of poems published in 1972 won an SAC Book Award. Subsequent collections include Dreaming Frankenstein & Collected Poems (1984) and The Colour of Black and White: Poems 1984-2003 (2003), both from Polygon.
