Penelope Shuttle has published eight collections of poetry since 1980, five novels, and co-authored two prose works, including the seminal The Wise Wound. In 2007 her collection, Redgrove's Wife (Bloodaxe Books), was short-listed for the Forward Prize and the TS Eliot prizes, and she won a Cholmondeley Award. She is currently working on a memoir of her life with her late husband, poet Peter Redgrove, entitled A Shared Solitude, and is one of the judges for the 2008 National Poetry Prize.
