Autumn is often the season for changes and new beginnings, and this year that’s true for the StAnza team as well. Annie Kelly, who for almost a decade has looked after StAnza’s press, media and PR work, will at the end of this month give up her role as our Press and Media Manager. Annie, who has a background in magazine journalism having worked for Woman, Country Homes & Interiors and the BBC Good Food Magazine, first came to St Andrews in 2004 to study creative writing at the University. During her time with us Annie has contributed hugely to the raising of StAnza’s profile, in particular over the past few years, and StAnza’s previous and current Festival Directors are extremely grateful to her.
It’s good to know that Annie has enjoyed her time with StAnza. She explains:
"My involvement with StAnza has been one of the great pleasures of my time in St Andrews and of living in Fife. I treasure the friendships made and the experiences I have had, and I look forward to watching the festival continue to grow as a major force in poetry."
Annie has been a highly valued core team member here, and for our media and press contacts, one of the most familiar faces of StAnza. Everyone will be sorry to see her move on and we are glad she intends to stay involved with StAnza in an advisory role.
