Dundee Literary Festival 2015

Friday 16 October 2015

Dundee Lit FestEnjoy five days of adventures in books in Dundee at the Dundee Literary Festival which starts next week and runs from 21st to 25th October. They have a packed programme [download your copy!] which they describe as being “a little like Platform 9 ¾ to Hogwarts, or the wardrobe in C.S Lewis’ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe – a surprising portal to new ideas, new stories and new discoveries”.

This year they invite you to hear from famous faces with incredible debut books, like Nick Frost and Gregor Fisher as well as iconic, award-winning Scottish writers Jackie Kay and Janice Galloway. Dive into our events with new voices, such as Lucy Ribchester, Malachy Tallack, Catherine Simpson and William Goldsmith. They want you to bring the whole family along and have events for kids, for comics fans and talks for the curious, whatever you’re curious about, whether that’s the human body or baking, Ladybird books, censorship or suffragettes. Join them this October to be entertained and provoked, absorbed and captivated, by books. Meantime for our StAnza audiences we’ve flagged up some of the poetry on offer.
