For those of you who like to hold it in your hands, the StAnza brochure for 2016 is almost ready and looking wonderful. It will be available hot from the printers at our Edinburgh preview event later this month.
As ever, thanks to our generous and welcoming hosts, this preview takes place at the National Library of Scotland, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EW. This year it's on Thursday 28th January at 6pm, and we’re very grateful to the NLS for their support. There will be short readings from several of this year’s festival poets, Don Paterson, Anna Crowe and Katie Ailes. All this, plus some music from poet and harpist Rita Bradd, who will be playing at the Festival Launch in March, and a round-up of some of the festival highlights. It promises to be a delightful hour of entertainment and if you’re in the Edinburgh area, be sure not to miss it. It’s a free event but please book a seat by emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org, or phoning 07900 207 429.
A quick note for anyone who hopes to attend the Scottish Book Trust's New Writers event the same evening. It starts at 7.30pm. Google maps assures us it only takes 15 minutes to walk to their venue from the NLS but we'll be finishing sharp on or just before 7.00pm to allow plenty time for this, so anyone hoping to do so can plan on being able to attend both events, and enjoy a whole evening of literary entertainment.
