Poetry Map of Scotland poem no. 75: Moniack Mhor

Your hair burns like the brightest things

Like fire and marmalade and orange lollies.

Skin that is milky, silky and glows in moonlight

Like heather ice-cream.  So lickable.

Freckles scatter across your face

Like sprinting sunflower seeds.

And a temper that colours language blue

As your heart beats

red-red, red-red.
