With tickets for StAnza 2018 now on sale, more good news for poetry lovers living in and around St Andrews. We are delighted that once again we are offering free places at our pre-festival Poetry Book Group sessions. Introduced for the first time in the run up to StAnza 2012, they have been very popular over the last six years and make a very welcome return this year. They allow people the chance to read and talk about some of the poets who will feature at StAnza 2018, including Tara Bergin and Will Harris.
As before, there will be three sessions, the first taking place on Thursday 18th January, and two further sessions will take place on Thursdays 1st and 15th February, and as well as a move from Wednesday to Thursdays, we’re also moving from an early evening slot to an afternoon slot.
We are delighted that the trio of postgraduate students from the University’s School of English who led last year’s sessions will lead this year's three early afternoon sessions from 2.00pm to 4.00pm. We’re also very grateful to MUSA, the Museum of the University of St Andrews, who are hosting the first session at MUSA, 7a The Scores, St Andrews, KY16 9AR. To book a free place and for information on the poems to be discussed, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or just turn up at one or more of the sessions.
