Border Crossings

Thursday 2 March, 14:15 - 15:15
The Town Hall, Queens Gardens - Supper Room
£4.00/£3.00

Reading: Maram Al-Massri, Paul Stephenson

This Border Crossings brings together two poets whose own crossing of borders has shaped the direction of their poetry. Paul Stephenson has lived in Spain, Belgium and, most recently, France. His latest collection, The Days That Followed Paris, is a response to the aftermath of the attacks in Paris in November 2015. He reads alongside Adonis prizewinner Maram Al-Massri. Originally from Syria, Massri has been living in Paris for the last two years, and her work reveals the trauma of experiencing a war from afar.
