Responding to the world's oldest periodic table chart

A canvas discovered at the University of St Andrews is believed to be the world's oldest surviving example of a periodic table for display purposes. The chart appears to date from 1885. With 2019 marking 150 years since Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev published his method of presenting the relationships between the elements, StAnza commissioned poet Eveline Pye to respond to the St Andrews find.
