Festival Launch Extravaganza

Wednesday 7 March, 18:30 - 20:45
The Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Auditorium

A sneak peek at some of the highlights of StAnza 2018

Raise a glass with us as we officially launch this year’s festival! Inspired by our friends at the Poetry International festival in Rotterdam, this year our opening night will be an extravaganza performance with poems from a range of festival poets as well as film, art and music.

We’ll be offering you a taster of some of the poetry and performances we’re most excited about this festival, hearing from some of the biggest names in poetry, and welcoming some great new talent we’re sure you’ll love. Interspersed with their wonderous words will be a selection of the filmpoems and digital installations to be enjoyed at StAnza 2018 – and of course there’ll be music guaranteed to set your feet tapping.

With poetry, films and music galore, this evening’s not one you want to miss! We dare you to leave without a new favourite poet…
