Five O’Clock Verses

Friday 8 March, 17:00 - 18:00
Parliament Hall, South Street

Reading: George Mario Angel Quintero, Gerda Stevenson

This evening we’ll be hearing from two poets who work across art forms. George Mario Angel Quintero has published poetry, fiction and essays in English, as well poetry and plays in Spanish, and is also a visual artist and musician. His work is full of ironic elegance and black humour. He'll be reading alongside the BAFTA award-winning actor, singer/songwriter and poet Gerda Stevenson, whose latest collection (fittingly, for a reading on International Women's Day) is QUINES: poems in tribute to women of Scotland.

George Mario Angel Quintero: Berta Nelly Arboleda
Gerda Stevenson : Anna Wiraszka
