Responses to the Hamish Henderson centenary

2019 marks the centenary of the legendary Scottish poet, songwriter and intellectual who was a vital force behind the twentieth century Scottish folk music revival. In collaboration with the Poets’ Republic, the HamishMatters project is commissioning new poetry as a tribute to Hamish Henderson. The project will continue during 2019 and we’re delighted to have the chance to preview some of the new works in progress curated into a digital installation by the poet Jim Mackintosh. The installation features the work of Neil Young, Hugh McMillan, Stuart Paterson, Magi Gibson, Joy Hendry, Marcas Mac An Tuairneir and Jim Mackintosh woven around images of Hamish.
