Mediterranean and Beyond

Mediterranean and Beyond

This year in our translated language and culture focus, we’re exploring the languages of the Mediterranean and poetry which has emerged from these languages both at home and elsewhere around the world where they are spoken. We’ll be engaging with the long-lasting legacy of classical Greece and Italy, as well as highlighting the languages and cultural impact of the Mediterranean diaspora, including those with origins in Italy and Palestine, which has enriched the culture of Scotland, the UK and other parts of the world.
