Poetry Café: Angie Strachan and Colin Bramwell

Thursday 5 March, 13:00 - 13:50
Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Studio Theatre
£7.00/£5.75

Lunchtime poetry from two of Scotland’s funniest spoken word poets

Bold, funny, and incredibly relevant. Sate your pallet with a snack lunch (included in the ticket price) and fresh poetry from two exceptional poets storming the spoken word scene. Serving storytelling with a quirky sense of humour is the runner up to the 2019 Scottish Poetry Slam Championship. Angie Strachan’s poetry ranges from everyday observations to the realities of living with a depressive illness—offering audiences a warm and unique perspective on the issue. Sharing the stage with her will be Colin Bramwell, an award-winning poet and performer currently on the UK leg of his international tour of Umbrella Man, an exciting piece of spoken word theatre. Be ready to laugh loudly, and think deeply in the first Poetry Café event of StAnza 2020.
