Poetry Café: Keith Jarrett

The Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Studio Theatre

Lunch and powerful poetry from a major talent

Please note change of programme: We regret that due to a family bereavement, Sibusiso Conelius Simelane will not be appearing at this event on 3rd March.  However, we are delighted that the wonderful poet Keith Jarrett from London will now be at StAnza in this Poetry Cafe event.

Spice up your lunch (included in the ticket) with spoken word for social justice. Born and raised in East London, Keith Jarrett is a former UK slam champion and Rio International Poetry Slam winner 2014. His early work was inspired by hip-hop and jazz and his influences range from Caribbean trickster figures to Latin American surrealist authors. Since 2005, he has performed at various poetry events in English and Spanish, and was a runner up in the Radio 4 Slam Finals in 2007. He is London and UK Farrago Poetry Slam Champion for 2010 and a semi-finalist in the World Cup Slam in Paris. He is currently writing a collection of short stories and a novel. Come along and be inspired.
