Wendy Cope

Wendy Cope read history at Oxford and then worked as a primary school teacher until 1986 when her first book, Making Cocoa for Kingsley Amis, was published. Since then she has been freelance. She has published five collections of poems, most recently Anecdotal Evidence in 2018. She also writes poems for children and has edited several anthologies. Her work has won awards on both sides of the Atlantic. She lives in Ely and is married to the poet Lachlan Mackinnon.
