David Evans

David Evans is a Reader in French at the University of St Andrews. His books include Rhythm, Illusion and the Poetic Idea: Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Mallarmé (2004) and Théodore de Banville: Constructing French Poetry in Nineteenth-Century France (2014). He is interested in the relationship between music and poetry and is currently working on a project tentatively titled 'Poetic Masculinities in France, 1820-1920'.
