Alastair Jackson grew up in Dunvegan, Skye, and has worked with digital imaging for the past five years. He had his first solo exhibition at the Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine, in September 2016, and has taken part in audio-visual events such as Ceol’s Craic at the CCA in Glasgow during 2016. ‘An Roghainn/The Choice’ is his first collaborative work with a writer, and the exhibition previously ran from November to December 2016 at the Aros Centre, Portree. Before taking up photography, he was a published poet in publications such as Northwords and Haiku Monthly. A collection of his haiku was published by Corbie Press in 2001.
