Bas Kwakman

Bas Kwakman (1964) is a visual artist, writer and Managing Director of Poetry International Rotterdam. He’s written essays on poetry for international publishers, and in 2014, together with the poet Lies van Gasse, he published Een Stem van Paardenhaar (‘A Voice of Horsehair’), a collection of prose, poetry and drawings based on a journey through Mongolia. In 2017 he will publish Hotelkamerverhalen (‘Hotelroomstories’), a collection of stories based upon his journeys for Poetry International.
