Sabine Macher currently lives in Paris, and wherever else her job as a dancer leads her, and divides her time between dance, writing and photography. Born in West Germany in 1955, she grew up in Germany and the United States. At the age of 21, she moved to France for a year abroad and decided to settle there. She began working as a poet in 1992 and has published a dozen poetry collections. Her latest books include Deux coussins pour Norbert (Bleu du ciel éditions, 2009) and Résidence absolue (Isabelle Sauvage éditions, 2013). She is also a translator of German and English poetry.
