Denis Mollison

Denis Mollison is a professor of applied probability, with particular interests in epidemiology, the environment, and electoral reform. He was a co-founder of the John Muir Trust, and is a former Chair of the Mountain Bothies Association and of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust. He was given a Points of Light award in 2017. Over the last five years he has been visiting all the beaches of the North West Highlands Geopark. A selection of 39 photos (and 1 poem) from this project, exhibited at the John Muir Trust's gallery in Pitlochry in July 2019, inspired Roderick Manson's poetry cycle, ‘Portraits of the Edge’. A second exhibition is planned for August 2020.
