Stina Saari

Stina Saari (1992) is a Finnish poet who writes on anything that stays still long enough. Saari has been performing as a poet for one year, but has been writing since she was four. Her first book, Squiggle-Waves, has unfortunately been left unpublished. Saari’s first book Änimling (Teos 2018) is an attempt to touch something unnamable by combining visual, phonetic and emotional elements. Teos Publishing describes Änimling as 'earthmoving in its versatility. Language breaks, scatters, clicks, rumbles and sings. Änimling won the Dancing Bear Poetry Prize 2019.
