Rebecca Sweetman is professor of Ancient History and Archaeology in the University of St Andrews. Her research focus is on the archaeology of Greece in the Roman and Late Antique period. In addition to a book on Roman and Late Antique Crete, she has published several articles on themes such as globalisation, Christianisation and memory. She is interested in movement of people in the Mediterranean in terms of forced mobility (exile and refugees) as well as pilgrimage and tourism (particularly in the Cycladic islands). She is co-directing a project on Museums and Memory (Through a Glass Darkly) with Alison Hadfield, MUSA.
