Cai Tianxin

Cai Tianxin was born in 1963 in Huangyan on the southeast coast of China. He has published a number of poetry collections, two of which have appeared in English: Song of the Quiet Life (2006) and Every Cloud has its Own Name (2017). He also pens essays and travel writing. Cai Tianxin is a professor of mathematics at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, and has also written on mathematics and on the relationship between maths and poetry. He has performed his work internationally, and has given readings in cities as farflung as Sarajevo, Lima and Baghdad.
