Homefound, by Catherine Wilson: A StAnza Micro Commission

Homefound celebrates how far a poem can travel even when we can’t. During lockdown, 30 participants from 13 countries across the world submitted words and photographs that summarised what had made them happy during lockdown. The photographs were to be "metaphorical", meaning participants had to go on a scavenger hunt to find something that represented the word they wanted to submit. Words came from countries including: Scotland, Columbia, Canada, Greece, South Africa, Australia, Singapore and Italy, and Catherine Wilson created this video poem with them.

Catherine Wilson is a spoken word poet and writer whose work has been commissioned by organisations including BBC Radio 4 and the National Gallery. Her recent publications include the Scottish Book Trust, and she recently won the poetry category of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival Writing Competition.
