Border Crossings
Poets from as nearby as Cumbria and as far as China read together at this morning’s Border Crossing. Katie Hale’s debut pamphlet Breaking the Surface appeared in 2017 and reimagines the myths and fairytales we think we know in eerily familiar settings. Katie is a recipient of both the Jane Martin and the Ware Poetry Prize. Also reading will be Cai Tianxin, a poet and mathematician originally from the southeast coast of China. His work has been translated into a number of languages, including English, Spanish and Armenian.
