Concrete Scotland
From 1 April the StAnza 2021 festival content on this page is no longer available.
The online exhibition Concrete Scotland explores how Scottish writers and artists interacted with the concrete poetry movement of the 1950s-70s. In this presentation, Greg Thomas uses images of rare and unpublished poems, archival materials and ephemera, to weave together a narrative of the concrete movement in Scotland and its encompassing contexts, from cybernetics to the social housing boom: that other ‘concrete revolution’ of the era.
