A Plague of Poems
From 1 April the StAnza 2021 festival content on this page is no longer available.
Scottish poet Hugh McMillan responded to the restrictions of lockdown in summer 2020 by inviting over one hundred poets from around the world to film themselves reading a poem. The resulting videos were posted online, one a day, and shared widely. Hugh has selected four videos for inclusion in our 2021 film programme by two poets who took part in StAnza 2020 just before lockdown, Carolyn Forché and Andrew Greig, as well as Hannah Lavery, who took part in our 2019 festival, and Kimberly Blaeser from the USA.
The films can be viewed via this page from 6 March.
