As well as being a poet, Matthew Stewart is an exporter and blender for the Spanish cooperative Viñaoliva who leads guided tastings and talks about the blender’s art. Tasting Notes was published by Fife’s HappenStance Press in 2012 with poems describing the taste of various wines. A selection of these will be available for the taking, straight from the bottle, in various locations around the Byre, entirely alcohol free. Matthew will be at StAnza this year and you’ll have the chance to hear more of his poems. Meantime, help yourself to one from a bottle, and savour the taste.
