This event took place in 2020

Young people from Fife schools explored the Folklore of Fife, Scotland and the World in poetry and art with poet Rachel Plummer

Children from classes at Newport Primary School and St Columba's RC Primary School worked with poet Rachel Plummer to produce poems inspired by folklore of Scotland and the world, with a particular focus on folklore of the North and coasts. Folk stories, myths and legends have been linked to poetry since its very beginnings. By setting these poems in their local towns, homes and schools, the children found new meaning in some of our oldest stories.

Supported by the Year of Coasts and Waters 2020 and in association with OnFife
