Poetry in the Garden
This event will now be taking place online.
Throughout 2020 people have been turning to poetry for consolation and inspiration, emphasising the pivotal nature of the artform to our wellbeing and emotional lives. A similar role has been played by the outdoors and the natural world. In ‘Poetry in the Garden’, we’re interweaving these two elements, with a reading from Gordon Meade, whose work often engages with the natural world. He'll be reading from his most recent collection, Zoospeak, which looks at the experiences of animals in zoological 'gardens' throughout the world, and how they are treated.
