Raibīs (the pseudonym of Oskars Orlovs, 1983) is a poet, writer, playwright and musician. He has written two short story collections, two plays, and the poetry collection Pistacejis (Pistachios), which won the 2017 BOŅUKS Award for Best Achievement in Latgalian Literature, and was shortlisted for Best Poetry Collection at the 2018 LALIGABA Awards (Annual Latvian Literature award). He is a member of the Latvian Writers’ Union and is based in a small town in Estonia, where he works as a medical massage therapist.
