Undercroft, St John's House, South Street

Location: On the north side of South Street opposite West Burn Lane

The oldest and most atmospheric venue used for StAnza events, the Undercroft of St John’s House is linked to the Knights of St John active in St Andrews in pre-Reformation days.

It is a medieval barrel vaulted cellar with wonderful acoustics which forms the cellar of a younger, but still ancient building. It has been used for poetry and the occasional music event at StAnza since 2003.

Disabled Access: The Undercroft has one or two steps with a handrail down into the venue. Please ask the door staff for assistance if required
