]StAnza was very saddened to hear of the sudden death of Adrian Mitchell, who was the StAnza 2008 Poet in Residence and gave a series of entertaining, passionate and unforgetable performances at the festival. One of the UK's most beloved poets, Adrian had been suffering from pneumonia for the past two months and died in his sleep from a possible heart attack. He had just completed Tell Me Lies: Poems 2005-2008 which will now, sadly, be his final collection.
