Our headline festival events are interpreted in British Sign Language.

Hearing

Hearing loops

The Byre's Auditorium and Studio both have a hearing loop, and their systems work with the 'T' setting on hearing aids. Let the Byre box office know before you book and they'll have a hearing loop pack ready for you.

Getting in

Step-free venues

We prioritise accessible venues. Our hub, the Byre Theatre, has level access to both entrances, a lift to every floor and wheelchair spaces with unrestricted views in both performance spaces.

Reading along

Poem texts

We're exploring ways to put poem texts on our website, so you can read along while you listen. Ideas are very welcome.

Venues

Venue access at a glance

Every venue has full access details on the Venues page. Select a venue name to go straight to it.

Online

Watch from home

Since 2022, StAnza has been a hybrid festival, combining live events in St Andrews with a rich digital programme. Our digital events and livestreams are extensive and low cost, so you can join in from wherever you are.

Everything we stream has auto-generated captions. These are edited for accuracy after the festival.

Your views

Help us improve

Throughout 2026, we've been working with our community and an external access consultant on an accessibility and inclusion review of the festival. If you have thoughts, comments or questions about accessibility, we'd love to hear them.

You can read about our wider approach to equality, diversity and inclusion in our policies, and about this website in our accessibility statement.
