Rail
By train and bus

The East Coast line to Leuchars runs along one of Scotland's most stunning stretches of coastline.
Take a train to Leuchars (LTS), 6 miles from St Andrews, then hop on one of the regular buses that leave from right outside the station. The bus ride takes around ten minutes.
From Dundee: trains to Leuchars run a couple of times an hour, or hop on the 99 bus to take you all the way in just over half an hour. The bus runs late into the evening so you can catch our late-night events and still get home afterwards!
From Edinburgh: there are a couple of trains an hour from either Waverley or Haymarket to Leuchars. We might be biased, but this stretch of coastline is one of the most stunning railway journeys Scotland has to offer!
From Glasgow: change trains at Edinburgh Haymarket for Leuchars, or take a direct train to Dundee and travel on to St Andrews via Leuchars or on the 99 bus.
From further south or north: LNER runs direct trains along the East Coast line to Leuchars from London, York, Newcastle and Aberdeen.
