Common Verse: Poetry in Culture is a two-day summit exploring the role of poetry in Scotland’s cultural life and sparking new collaborations across sectors and art forms. It brings together Scottish literary, cultural, and third-sector organisations, international poetry festivals, and contemporary poets to discuss approaches and initiate partnerships. Across the summit, delegates will share best practice, address common challenges, enjoy innovative performances, and develop new collaborative projects and approaches. With specific focuses on multi-disciplinary creative work and projects which engage with health, access, education, and climate, this summit will explore how poetry can make an impact across culture and society.

Common Verse takes place 11th-12th March, 2027, leading into StAnza’s 30th anniversary festival. It is supported by the Creative Scotland Expanded Festivals Fund.
