Inspired by their recent collaboration on MPT’s Czech poetry issue, our friends at Modern Poetry in Translation and the Czech Literary Centre have raided their archives. This exhibition paints a vivid picture of the early years of Britain’s foremost poetry translation magazine, with a particular focus on the journal’s relationship with central and eastern Europe. The exhibition is curated by Jan Zikmund and Clare Pollard with the help of the library at Queens College, Oxford, which holds the MPT archive.
