    Beth Frieden

    Beth Frieden is an American poet who now lives in Glasgow. She writes in Scottish Gaelic and English and her debut bilingual pamphlet Acair san talamh / Anchor in the land was published by Stewed Rhubarb in 2023. She has performed her poetry at the opening ceremony of the World Cycling Championships and at StAnza 2023. Beth was a member of the Genesis Jewish Book Week Emerging Writers Programme in 2023-24.

    Peter Mackay

    Peter Mackay / Pàdraig MacAoidh is a poet, lecturer and broadcaster. He has two collections of poems, Nàdur De (Some Kind of, 2020) and Gu Leòr (Galore, 2015), published by Acair, and a pamphlet, From Another Island, with Clutag Press (2010). He writes in Gàidhlig and English, and his work has been translated into Czech, French, German, Irish, Occitan, Macedonian and Slovakian. His academic work includes This Strange Loneliness: Heaney’s Wordsworth (2021) and Sorley MacLean (2011); he is a Senior Lecturer in Literature at the University of St Andrews, and has been an AHRC / Radio 3 New Generation Thinker.

Beth Frieden is a Glasgow-based actor, voice artist and poet who works in English and Scottish Gaelic. Eòghan Stiùbhart is a teacher and online broadcaster. Born and raised all over Scotland, he now lives in Inverness, with family originally from Uig in Lewis and Trotternish on Skye. Niall O’Gallagher is a poet, translator, and journalist, and the City of Glasgow’s first Gaelic Poet Laureate. An acclaimed author, bàrd and storyteller, Martin Macintyre has worked across these genres for over twenty years; he has written eight works of fiction and one collection of poems.
