Join us again at the Poetry Café, where poets Rebecca Tamás, Jess Traynor, Stephanie Sy-Quia and Fran Lock will explore poetry as a form of resistance. We’re delighted to offer the stage to four poets whose work is deeply rooted in examinations of structural violence against women, from witchcraft and the occult to motherhood and environmental crisis, and four poets with ambitious, unique and radical aesthetic approaches to their art.

Rebecca Tamás is the author of the poetry collection WITCH and the essay collection Strangers: Essays on the Human and Nonhuman. Jessica Traynor is a poet, essayist, librettist, and poetry editor at Banshee. Her third collection, Pit Lullabies, is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. Stephanie Sy–Quia was born in 1995 in California and now lives in London. Her first collection, Amnion, won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Fran Lock is the author of numerous chapbooks and ten poetry collections. Her most recent chapbook is Forever Alive, and her most recent collections are Hyena! Jackal! Dog!, the long, lyric manifesto White/ Other, and Hyena!Hyena!
