Join Yasmine Seale, a writer who works across poetry, translation and visual art, to learn more about her erasures and remakings of The Thousand And One Nights, showcased at StAnza as a digital installation. Yasmine created her erasures of Edward Lane’s translation of the Nights while working on a contemporary translation of the text. Her visually arresting erasures became a way to playfully read against Lane, and a reminder of the fluidity of this ever-changing text. Yasmine will be available in-situ to tell you more about her work, and to answer any questions you might have.
