A reading from emerging poet Mattea Gernentz as part of the Scottish Poetry Library’s Next Generation Young Makars Programme, a new talent development scheme for poetry writers aged 16 to 25 years. Gernentz’s work meditates on themes of beauty, memory, gender, and intertextuality, and was supported by mentorship from Irish poet Aoife Lyall.
