Breakfast at the Poetry Café: City Lines
Wake up and smell the Poetry Café! Our breakfast panel discussion events offer a relaxed start to the day with a group of poets and other festival participants over coffee and pastries. For this year’s City Lines theme and our focus on architecture as part of Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, we look at how these topics interact with poetry and impact on the work of writers and artists and at the idea of Urban Verse. Darran Anderson’s latest book, Imaginary Cities, explores the relationship between the city and the imgination; poet Matthew Griffiths’ critical book The New Poetics of Climate Change is due out from Bloomsbury in late 2016; Kevin Mclean is an Edinburgh-based spoken word performer and member of the Loud Poets collective; and Harry Man is this year's Poet in Residence at StAnza.
