During StAnza 2017 Christodoulos Makris will be making poems using text from his own internet browsing, in real time. These poems will be erected as physical and subsequently as digital installations, and will cumulatively offer a poetic documentary of this year’s festival filtered through the poet’s online reading habits. Underpinning this performative residency are Christodoulos’ work and interest in ‘reading as writing’ and our ‘toggling’ between physical and digital communication and personas. As part of our digital installations, we’ll be showing some poems he composed in the run up to StAnza 2017 by employing the processes he will use during his residency.
